Born in Malaga Manuel Moreno also graduated here in violin, viola and chamber music from the Conservatorio Superior Maestro Artola and then from the Conservatoire National Rueil Malmaison in París where he obtained Premier Prix et Médaille d’Or à l’unanimité at superior grade.

He furthered his violin studies in London under Professors Brian Brooks y Krysia Osostowicz and viola with Felix Schwartz at the Academy of Orchestral Studies Barenboim-Said. In 2012 he completed his Masters degree in Musical Technique  and Performance at the International University of Andalusia.

He has attended a number of advanced training courses and received classes from professors such as C. M. Varvaroi, Vadim Brodsky, Manuel Villuendas, Juan Llinares, Michael Thomas, Karel Dolezal (Praga), Rusen Gunes, Gerard Jarry (Pont St. Esprit, Avignon) and Ruggiero Ricci (Dartington).

He is a regular guest and collaborator in diverse groups : Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta de Córdoba, Orquesta Sinfónica Verler Vier Jahreszeiten de Detmold (Alemania), Ensemble Elegie de París, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Cité Internationale de París, Orquesta Manuel de Falla de Cádiz, Orquesta Ciudad de Almería, Ensemble Moxos (Bolivia), etcetera.

Currently he is the principal viola player in the Symphonic Orchestra of Malaga. He has won several awards with the Granada string quartet and carries out an important role promoting chamber music.

He has been an official state viola teacher since 2004 and fulfills his teaching duties at the Conservatorio Profesional Gonzalo Martín Tenllado  in Malaga. He is regularly invited to teach on advanced training courses and to participate in orchestras such as Academia Orquestal de Málaga, Orquesta Sinfónica del Mar (Costa Rica) y Orquesta Joven de Andalucía.
